There is a real power in learning to accept people for who they are rather than who you think/want them to be. You release yourself from repeating a cycle where you constantly feel disappointed and disillusioned as a result of their actions.
Not only that but it’s important for them too. I can imagine it being quite disheartening when someone is trying to superimpose this perfect ideal onto you. I guess what I’m trying to say is this, when someone shows you who they really are…believe them the first time. If that’s not what you want/ looking for then save yourself the headache and hassle of trying to change them and either accept them or move on.
